Massage
Modalities
Massages may
integrate several modalities or types of massages. Deep Massage usually refers to work done specifically to affect the deeper muscles. Deep massages stimulate circulation and helps lymphatic flow, promoting detoxification and oxygenation of stagnant tissues. Deep doesn’t necessarily mean painful and often refers to the depth and level of the client’s positive experience, not just the amount of pressure. Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Its aim is to help release chronic patterns of tension in the body with slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas. It can be intense work but slowly easing into the tissues, rather than just diving in, tends to lessen the intensity. Clients need to communicate even closer with the therapist if during this type of massage work. It often takes several sessions to lessen the chronic patterns of tension in the body. Deep tissue and specialized massage sessions may cost a little more, depending on the needs of the client.
Post-Sports-event massages to help
loosen tight muscles and reduce recovery time.
