Needs Cookies Turned on to Make Purchases:
Cookies are used by shopping carts to keep track of order
data. If you turn off the cookies in your browser you cannot place an order.
If you are having trouble or errors with PayPal it is likely that you do not have cookies enabled on your computer.
In these cases turn your cookies on, refresh the page or close the window, bring it up again, and make your purchases.
After purchases you may turn your cookies back off.Your web browser must be configured to accept "cookies" to access most secure websites, including PayPal. This is necessary for the Shopping Cart to function.

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher:
- From the Tools menu, choose Internet Options
- Click the Privacy tab
- Set the slider to Medium or just below
- Click Edit
- On the line provided, type www.paypal.com and click Allow
If your Internet Explorer browser version is 5.0 or 5.5, you will need to enable session cookies.
- From the Tools menu in IE 5 or IE 5.5, click Internet Options.
- The Internet Options dialog box will open.
- Click the "Security" tab.
- Click the Internet icon. (If you are on a local area network, you must also repeat this procedure with the Local internet icon selected.)
- Click Custom Level. The Security Settings dialog box opens.
- From the Settings list, scroll down to Cookies.
- Ensue the "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" option, it is Enabled.
- Ensure "Allow per session cookies (not stored)" is Enabled and then click "OK".
- Click "OK" to close the Internet Options dialog box.
To accept cookies using Netscape in Windows:
- Click on "Edit" from the top bar.
- Select "Preferences".
- Select "Advanced".
- Where it says Cookies, select either Accept all cookies or Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server radio button.
- Click "OK".
- Go back to the Web and click the Reload button. You should receive the most recent versions of the web pages.
To accept cookies using Netscape on a Macintosh:
- Click on "Edit" from the top bar.
- Select "Preferences".
- Select "Advanced".
- Where it says Cookies, select either Accept all cookies or Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server radio button.
- Click "OK".
- Go back to the Web and click the Reload button. You should receive the most recent versions of the web pages.
If problems persist you may need to clear your Cache and or Cookies.
In addition Errors 3001-3005-3009 are general errors that may have several different causes. These errors are usually temporary and can be related to heavy internet traffic and/or temporary website maintenance.
Please follow these steps for your specific web browser and Operating System. Please note, if your specific
browser is not listed below you may use the "Help" section of your browser or contact their customer service center.
The first thing you will want to do is make sure that you are accessing www.paypal.com directly rather than through a Bookmark or Favorite. You can then follow the instructions below to clear your web browser's cache and cookies (Temporary Internet Files).
Clearing Cache and Cookies for Internet Explorer or AOL on Microsoft Windows:
- Click on the "Start" button.
- Select "Settings" and click on "Control Panel".
- Double-click on the Internet (or Internet Options) and select the "General" tab.
- Click on the "Settings" button in the Temporary Internet Files section and choose "View Files".
- Click on "Edit" and select "Select All".
- Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard. If prompted to verify that you want to delete your cookies, click on "Yes".
Clearing Cache and Cookies for Internet Explorer on a Macintosh:
- Click on "Explorer" or "Edit" at the top of your screen.
- Click on "Preferences".
- Under Web Browser Preferences click on "Advanced".
- Click on the "Empty Now" button on the right.
- Under Receiving Files Preferences click on "Cookies".
- Click on the "Delete" button to the right.
- Click "OK".
Clearing Cache and Cookies for AOL on a Macintosh:
- Click "My AOL" at the top of your browser.
- Select "Preferences".
- Click the "WWW" icon on the left hand side.
- On the right hand side, click "Empty Cache Now".
- Click the "Advanced Settings" button on the right. **This will bring up a new window for Advanced Settings.
- To the left under "Receiving" click "Cookies".
- Highlight all cookies and press "Delete" on your keyboard.
Clearing Cache and Cookies for Netscape on Microsoft Windows or Macintosh:
- Open Netscape and select the "Edit" pull down menu.
- Select "Preferences".
- Click on "Advanced" on the left hand side of the screen and then "Cache". You will see an option to clear your disk and memory cache. It is best to clear both types of cache.
- You may also need to locate the folder on your hard drive named "Cookies" or "Magic Cookies" and delete the cookies that are stored there.
If this does not correct the problem, please wait a short time, restart your web browser, and attempt to access www.paypal.com directly.
